RESUMEN: En el hotel Punta Madruguilla, ubicado en el cayo Santa María, dada la mala capacidad soportante que tienen los estratos que conforman el perfil geológico del lugar, se hizo necesaria la técnica de hinca de pilotes de hormigón para servir de base a las edificaciones. En este trabajo se explica toda la experiencia obtenida aplicando este tipo de cimentación, así como, se muestra todo el proceso de análisis y diseño de las piscinas como objetos con características peculiares. El mismo se desarrolló utilizando el Software STAAD Pro 2006.
