RESUMEN: En este artículo se presenta un análisis mediante el Método de los Elementos Finitos, en el que se estudia las variaciones de la carga por fricción negativa cuando un pilote de fricción, que interactúa con el hundimiento regional, se somete a cargas accidentales. Se consideran condiciones estratigráficas y piezométricas típicas de la zona lacustre de la Ciudad de México.
